It’s the most wonderful time of the year! With December just around the corner, we’re so excited to jump into all things Christmas! This favorite holiday is all about joy, traditions, and spending quality time with the people you love. With that in mind, we wanted to share some of our favorite family-friendly Christmas activities to do right here in Boerne, Texas. We made a list and checked it twice – these activities are sure to be a hit with your little ones!
Santa Pictures at The Dienger
Pictures with Santa are always a great tradition with kids! Being able to look back on Christmas pictures from past years are sure to bring a smile to your face. The Dienger Trading Co. offers pictures with Santa every year, and with how great the pictures always turn out, it’s an opportunity you won’t want to pass up on. Stop by the front to grab some coffee and hot chocolate while you’re at it!
Dickens on Main
This beloved Boerne tradition can be an all-day affair with fun for the whole family! With food trucks and vendors lining the square, you won’t go hungry while walking and perusing all that closed-down Main Street has to offer. During the day you can see performances from various groups, and at night you can stay for the famous parade. You might even see some fake snow falling from the sky!
Old West Christmas Lights Fest
Looking at colorful Christmas lights is always a favorite holiday tradition. With openings running from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve, this attraction has plenty of availability for your family to explore during this busy season. The Old West Christmas Light Fest has both a driving and a walk-in option, with additional activities such as scavenger hunts and a children’s light hay maze! Some other events are available at additional cost, such as laser tag and mechanical bull rides. Located off of Highway 46, this convenient location provides a family fun event just a short drive away.
The Christmas Shoppe
Located right on Main Street, this cozy boutique is a must-see during the Christmas season. This adorable Boerne gem has everything you need to get your home in the holiday spirit. Although the store is open year-round, what better time to pop in than the weeks leading up to Christmas! Stop by for a very Boerne take on Christmas.
