Halloween is an exciting holiday for kids (and adults!) of all ages. We’ve seen families create some awesome costumes using everyday items they already had at home. Solid colored shirts, tin foil, eye liner, bed sheets, stuffed animals, and cardboard boxes are just a few items you can use to create simple Halloween costumes. Be Easy on Yourself

We live in a Pinterest and Instagram world, and we understand that it can be exhausting to try to keep up with all the creative DIY ideas you see online. So if you’re in a busy season of life, or you just don’t enjoy DIY projects, give yourself a break! Go to your local Walmart and buy the costumes. Don’t let Halloween costumes be a source of stress in your life. You don’t lose mom or dad points for buying costumes, trust us.

Whether you’re DIYing Halloween costumes this year or buying costumes for the family, there’s no reason for costumes to break the bank. Did you know that many thrift stores sell Halloween costumes? Most kids use different costumes every year, which means that a lot of the costumes you’ll find at thrift stores are like new! So be sure to check out any thrift stores before buying brand new costumes or any special props.
